The paintings on paper are painted on sturdy watercolourpaper and protected by a semi-matte varnish (when it's acrylics or mixed media). The paintings on wood are painted on a base of MDF that's been cut out in a certain shape. The sides are painted as well and there are several layers of matte varnish for protection.
